We stayed over the long weekend and had a very relaxing time. We did enjoy the fire out and the hot tub quite a bit. Definitely recommend the house and location for a short stay

The house is lovely! The kitchen is huge and great, the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The hot tub is new and well maintained and we loved the fire pit! Wonderful house for relaxing! The hosts were very responsive! When we needed a baby gate to keep our toddler from going upstairs, they sent us one the same day! My only 2 notes is that the dining table is awkward – bolted to the ground and hard to sit comfortably around; also the bathtub wouldn’t hold water so giving baths to our infant was difficult. Regardless we’d happily stay again!

We did a family cabin trip here for 2 nights over the christmas holiday. Highly recommend a stay here!! The location is nice and secluded while also being a close distance to nearby activities. It rained most of our trip, so we ended up spending all our time at the actual house and we definitely made the most of the amenities – we enjoyed the overall spacious rooms, the hot tub, the kitchen, the games/puzzles. The space is beautiful and well-maintained, and the hosts are super responsive and helpful!

Place was very nice, peaceful and relaxing. Had the whole place to ourselves and didn’t even see anyone for miles.
Excellent and easy communication and they accommodated us for us to arrive early since we had 2 kids under 2. Very responsive and they even messaged me if we need anything during the stay.
Would definitely go back

This was such a fantastic last minute weekend getaway!!! I fell in love with this property immediately. The house Is set back from the road with so much privacy. The couch was super comfortable to chill out on a rainy day. We slept in the room with a king size bed it was a very spacious room with a balcony that was great to take in the beautiful scenery. The hot tub was the best way to end the day. The peaceful surroundings were hard to leave!!! We will be back again!! Thank for a wonderful experience.

We absolutely loved our stay! The home is clean and cozy - the perfect amount of space for a small group. The hot tub and fire pit were the perfect touch to the start of fall. There is quite a bit of land around the home and a nice patch of woods in the back perfect for a little hike with your dog. There are many small Catskills towns (Roscoe, Callicoon, Livingston Manor etc.) to visit but you should expect to drive about 15-30 minutes each. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway and doesn’t mind adventuring in the rolling hills!

Fantastic experience, and definitely one of the best airbnbs we have stayed at. It is a lovely house, which feels newly remodeled, in an absolutely gorgeous landscape with lots of wildlife to be seen in the area. We enjoyed spending time inside and out, especially in the hot tub, and would love to stay there again soon the next time we visit the area. Thank you!

The Home
A pretty backroad leads to this delightful shingled home, set on pleasing fifteen acre parcel that includes a mature woodland, and sprawling meadows ringed in stonewalls.
An open plan sitting room with television flows comfortably to the chef's kitchen, where there is plenty of counter space, and the appliances are all new as per the home's recent makeover. Around the corner from the kitchen is a cozy dining nook with built-in banquette, perfect for family dinners, puzzles and late night chats.
The first guest room is just off the living room, and has a queen bed. The large, modernized bathroom across the hall has a shower/tub.
At the upstairs landing there is an airy lounge with TV followed by a corridor that leads to the two en suite guest rooms. One is a queen, one is a king and both bathrooms have beautiful, tiled, walk-in showers with modern finishes. An upstairs deck runs outside both bedrooms, each of which have glass sliders to the to this peaceful space. Grab a rocker and listen to the birdsong or breeze through a few chapters on that book you keep meaning to finish.
Back outside, a generous common space is just begging you to grill, to hot tub, to philosophize around the fire pit all night. And in the morning, follow the path up to acres upon acres of open meadows.
Have overflow guests? Checkout Journey’s End, another fabulous Red Cottage Inc. rental that is just steps down the treelined road next door and sleeps another six guests.
Aside from being an excellent jumping off point for hiking, fishing and other upstate explorations, Journey’s End is also conveniently located near Bethel Woods, the iconic setting of the original Woodstock festival.
